My Buds and I at Military Ball 2012!

As much as I kick and scream, I love being a part of the Corps. It’s refreshing knowing that there are other freshmen going through the same ordeal I am, especially as I look back now that Turn Day is only fifty days away. Blue Phase has started and everyday I think about how much closer we are to completing servitude freshman year. Additionally, I’m at a lost with words when it comes to how much I love the Band despite our hell of a semester. There were times when I reexamined my place here both as a Cadet and as a student but the Corps always seems to bring me back to Earth. I’ve never say it, but joining the Corps and the Band is one of my Top Ten Greatest Hits.

But everyday I wonder what it would be like to be a “civilian” again.

Or at least around friends of different races
