Two Internships, One Summer

This summer I was offered two outstanding opportunities to intern with either NASA Langley or Army Rapid Equipping Force (REF). Although both of the projects they had each organized are closely related to the fields and graduate programs I’m exploring, obviously I could only pick one. NASA Langley is in Hampton, VA and would require intern housing while Army REF is a mere thirty minute drive from my house and fifteen from my grandmother’s nursing home. I was really, really, REAAAALLLLLLY looking forward to working with NASA but unfortunately I had to decline my offer because I couldn’t find any affordable housing in Hampton. On the brightside, I’ll be a paid SCEP intern at Army REF! I had a similar offer with another military agency last summer but declined it for the State Department. So I guess the stars have aligned and graced me with a second chance with the military. Although I wish I could intern at both, everything still went better than expected.

Oh and I leave for my study abroad trip to South Korea a week from tomorrow haaaay
