This happened to me. I was driving at night and an impatient driver tried to cheat their way through by driving on what he/she thought was the shoulder and instead of  running into a guardrail, he/she ran straightforward into a curb that propelled him/herself onto the sidewalk, street signs, and light pole. We weren’t even in traffic!
